Have you updated your social icons yet?

I admit it, I’ve never really been the biggest fan of Twitter – well, now X. When it first came online, I found the character limit to be very restrictive. I found the newsfeed to be too eclectic, and I always felt a certain level of cognitive dissonance reading 120 characters from, say, a professional fisherman, then immediately reading breaking news about politics, then following that up with random cat memes. I always felt like I needed more immersive content, but it has sort of grown on me… I guess. Anyway, this isn’t about my distaste for microblogging, this is about the icons! You know, the little “follow us on” icons. If you’ve gotten this far, I assume you realize that Twitter was acquired by Elon Musk, and it has since been rebranded as simply X. As part of that rebrand, the logo has been changed to an X that resembles the X in both the Monotype font library and the Unicode character X. If you haven’t updated your social icons with the new logo, it’s probably time. If you’re comfortable doing that yourself, great! If you need some help, give me a call, email or schedule some time on my consulting calendar. Also, if you need help marketing your business on social media, we can help you with your digital marketing efforts as well. I have been using social media for professional marketing purposes for over 15 years.
